Crank That (Soulja Boy) is a 2007 hit song and dance routine created by Soulja Boy Tellem. The Soulja Boy dance comprises of four basic stepping routines, followed by a widely remembered fifth part: the "superman".
Soulja Boy developed the dance to popularize the song, and in doing so joins a movement of rap musicians in the South and Midwest who create and market music in closer conjunction with dance moves than in the past. Soulja Boy's promoters also had the foresight to targeted YouTube and MySpace as a way to spread this dance phenomenon.
